Torere Macadamias is a family business owned and managed by Vanessa Hayes and Rod Husband. They have the only macadamia trial block and commercial nursery in NZ, the largest organic macadamia farm and supply both plants and organic nut products NZ-wide. Sharna Edwards (granddaughter) is the product Sales Manager and Walter Rika (son) is the Orchard and Nursery manager.
Torere Macadamias has sole rights to exclusive varieties and are the NZ macadamia industry developer, providing NZQA training courses, consultancy advice and support for growers NZ-wide. Vanessa began macadamia trials in 1983 that has culminated in the business it is today. Regular at the Market, vendor at local Food events, supply several outlets throughout the country with active plant and product online sales since 2013.
