I’m Lee Askew, Shemshi Red Devon Beef. I farm Red Devon Cattle in the Waimata Valley, Gisborne. My first Red Devons arrived in 2009 and have built the herd to 90 cattle. In 2014 I started at the Gisborne Farmer’s Market and now operate from a food trailer selling beef cuts and Shemshi Steak Mince burgers, steaks, gourmet pies and sausages. Deliveries free in Gisborne, I also sell at the A&P Show, street festivals, East Coast Farmer’s Expo and the races.
