Founding members of the Market, Stephen & Valerie have orchards located on the Hika Straight as well as in Te Karaka. The orchards produce apples (Royal Gala, Braeburn, Granny Smith and NZ Rose apples as well as mandarin and citrus varieties), fresh mandarins and oranges (Miho, Kiwano, Afourer, Navels and Valencia varieties for the autumn and winter seasons). Orange juice, with no added additives, is also available. The orchard also grows a variety of stone fruit – nectarines, plums and peaches. Heavitree is able to bring to the Market beautifully displayed tree ripened fruits for most of the year.
